Animal Second Line Print

from 110.00

Inspired by many trips to the zoo with my daughter, this whimsical print speaks to the joy animals give the world, and the parading spirit of New Orleans. The blue ribbon breezing from the giraffe's neck represents the Mighty Mississippi's River Bend that holds New Orleans.

Rooted in the joy of celebration and discovery, I hope this piece's spirit expands its meaning in a hands on way. Throughout Carnival Season, 20% percent of profits from the Animal Second Line Prints will be donated to Trinity Educational Enrichment Program (TEEP). TEEP is a six-week summer program of academic enrichment and recreational activities for more than one hundred 5th and 6th graders from low income families. The purpose is to instill a love for learning and to provide a space for personal growth. More information can be found at : http://www.trinitynola.com/page.aspx?pid=784
